Huguenot Trail Rotary - Four Avenues of Service

Two of the regular projects that our club has been involved in every month are Meals-On-Wheels and an Ice Cream Social at the Senior Center in Chesterfield.

On the 4th Thursday of each month, two of our members go to deliver food to those that would otherwise not have a hot meal for the day. It is a great project -- and a great service for those less fortunate.

At the Senior Center, we host an ice-cream social the first Tuesday of each month. Two of our members volunteer for this fun job each month. The seniors just love to see some younger faces! We always have a great time and they love to have us sing Happy Birthday to all those with birthdays that month! We also help them with a fund-raiser each year by being bar-tenders. We were very disappointed to learn the the Senior Center will be closing in July of this year!

The Huguenot Trail Club has also donated items to St. Joseph's Villa, worked on the Rotary House for Habitat for Humanity, went shopping with the children and donated funds for Bright Beginnings, donated funds for the Powhatan County Sheriff's Christmas, CASA, Riders for Readers and Boy's State. We are looking forward to working with the Riders for Readers program this summer.
